Minnesota Waste and Transfer FAQ

How long can I rent a dumpster?

How long do you need one? Because our business is solution-based, we have the unique ability to create rental agreements that fit your needs. From short-term rentals, long-term rentals and even near permanent dumpster rentals. Minnesota Waste and Transfer can work with you to develop a plan that fits your needs.

Are there any extra charges?

Yes and No. There are certain items, like tires and appliances, that cost more to dispose of than others. However, we are completely honest with these fees and make every effort to communicate this information with our clients BEFORE we drop off a dumpster.

Does weight matter?

Yes it does. Each dumpster has a weight limit according to its size. We always prefer talking with our clients before delivery so we can get an idea of what materials are being hauled away. If they are very heavy items, like concrete or shingles, we like to recommend renting a larger dumpster to help avoid any weight penalties.

Where can my dumpster be delivered?

Just about anywhere. Construction sites and loading docks are common places for rolloff dumpsters, but we can also deliver to homes. When a dumpster is delivered to a home, we take extra measures to protect driveways and grass from being damaged.

Are there any items I can’t put in a dumpster?

All hazardous materials need to be disposed of in special ways and can’t be put into dumpsters. Check with your local county for hazardous waste disposal events for items like; paint, batteries, fertilizer, fluorescent lights, oil, or asbestos.

Why don’t you advertise “lowest prices” like some of your competitors?

Many of the companies that advertise the “lowest rental price possible” have extra taxes or fees that get added to the bill in addition to the dumpster rental fee. We don’t appreciate sneaky or unethical tactics designed to gouge prices, so we don’t use them.

What size dumpster should I rent?

Rolloff dumpsters are rated in volume by yards. We understand that it’s not a commonly used measurement for everyone so it really is best to call us (developer - link to contact page) . Some dumpsters are longer than others and some are shorter with taller sides. We can help you figure out what size dumpster will be best to rent based on your individual project and the items you need hauled away.

What type of cleanup can I expect after the dumpster is hauled away?

None. That’s why you’re calling us, to take trash away - not leave bits of it on the ground. We make sure to clean up the areas around our dumpsters. All of our trucks are equipped with brooms and our drivers will inspect and sweep the area around the dumpster to make sure no waste is left behind.
